Conferences open to public

From 2nd to 13th July 2012, it is possible to attend all Summer University conferences.  

Come and listen to lectures from Swiss and international experts and participate to the collective reflection on « end of life and social work ».

Conferences, lectures, workshops in small groups, visits of social facilities and institutions, cultural and social events are on the program of the Summer University.

Fees and Grants

Fees are CHF 800.- (550.- EUR, 800.- USD) for the two weeks.
Including lectures, teaching materials, transportation to field visits, social evenings and other organized events.

Financial aid for international students may be granted upon request. If you need funding (for international students only, you must complete the funding request form and send it by email to : info@remove-this.susw.ch.

Housing

Swiss universities do not usually have on-campus housing. Solutions of housing for the duration of the Summer school will be proposed to the foreign students if needed.

3-day training on funerary rituals

In November, the UNIL, EPFL and HEP have organized a 3-day training on funerary rituals. It is open to all.

On 13th and 14th November 2012, palliative ch is organizing its annual conference in Biel, Switzerland.

The French National Observatory on "end of life" publishes its first report

France - the 2011 report from the national observatory on “end of life” was published on 14th February 2012 and handed to the French Prime Minister. The report analyses current debates and examines updates of research from 2008 to 2012.  

Scientific Visits

The Summer University in Social Work moved to Vancouver, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
